A Dallas-based nonprofit plans to construct a unique senior-living development along Interstate 10 north of Loop 1604 with resort-level amenities that could potentially serve as a second home for some residents and offer a mix of wellness services and accommodations for others.



Bella Vida at La Cantera is slated for a 21-acre site near the La Cantera Resort & Spa, Eilan Hotel and Spa and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. It will include more than 150 independent-living apartment homes and 40 villas with attached garages, with a variety of floor plans ranging from 820 to 2,550 square feet.



Forefront Living, which is spearheading the project, said the development will also offer a variety of amenities, including a salon and spa, fitness center, sports courts, casual fine dining, an indoor swimming pool, a walking trail and wellness programming.



“We plan to create a community where residents can thrive,” Forefront Living CEO Tim Mallad said. “Not only will the community be beautiful, but it will be filled with the amenities that make it easy to live an active and engaging lifestyle.”



Forefront Living’s portfolio includes a mix of developments, including hospice care facilities. Bella Vida at La Cantera will offer a flexible service program allowing residents to customize their service package based on their preferences and lifestyle.



Bella Vida at La Cantera will provide access to a wellness concierge service for residents who may require future care or additional assistance. The development will also house a Memory Support neighborhood for individuals who may need a more secure setting.
