Construction Updates

Caleb Pirtle, Vice President of Development at Greystone Communities, recently toured Bella Vida and shared progress photos. Watching the community steadily transform each day is exciting. The Independent Living tower is rising, and the Villas are taking shape, with interior and exterior work underway. Construction moves forward across the site, with momentum visible from end to end.

A Note from our Executive Director

One benefit of this phased approach is that it allows us to deliver the high-quality experience our VIPs expect from day one. Each Villa phase will open after landscaping is complete. This will create beautiful surroundings that reflect the natural beauty of the Texas Hill Country and provide an inviting place to call home.

Villa residents will immediately enjoy services such as housekeeping, maintenance, fire protection, pest control and security, ensuring convenience, comfort and peace of mind. Our team is dedicated to providing the Bella Vida lifestyle from the very beginning.

The opening of our first Villa phase will also mark the launch of Bella Vida’s formal Life Enrichment program. Residents will have opportunities to participate in a modified level of engaging activities, social events, wellness offerings and educational programs designed to foster connection, purpose and enjoyment in everyday life. These programs will grow as we are able to occupy the main building and implement our full service and lifestyle programming.

We look forward to seeing Bella Vida come alive as the campus continues to develop in the months ahead.

Moving Forward: Real Estate Success Stories from Future Bella Vida Residents

New Employee Spotlight: Jermain Owens

in Boerne, Texas. He has expertise in mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Known for building strong, service-focused teams, he and his team will be dedicated to preventive maintenance and resident satisfaction.

Originally from Chicago, Jermain and his wife, Josie, have been married for 13 years. They moved to San Antonio with their two children, Jamere (13) and Justice (2), two years ago. He enjoys staying active, spending time outdoors, attending sporting events, cheering for Chicago teams—the Bears, Bulls, Cubs and Sky—and is passionate about bushcraft and outdoor survival.

Looking ahead, his focus at Bella Vida includes developing a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, strengthening and training the Building Services team and ensuring the community continues to operate safely and efficiently in every way. He’s especially excited to collaborate across departments and build strong relationships with residents and staff.

“I’m incredibly honored to be part of the Forefront Living Bella Vida family,” he shares. “I look forward to meeting all of our VIPs and helping create the best possible experience here. I’m passionate about people and service, and I’m excited to contribute to making this a wonderful place to live and work.”

Podcast & Painting Unveiling at La Cantera Resort

Bella Vida recently welcomed a group of VIP guests to an engaging, art-filled experience at La Cantera Resort. The live recording of the “On the Forefront” event, hosted by Tim Mallad, drew a full house.

Special guests artist Cheri Ingle and designer Bridget Bohacz shared the vision behind Bella Vida. Cheri unveiled a custom painting created for the community and announced a donation of an open-heart statue from the Open-Heart Foundation. Bridget described the interior design and the role of local art in Bella Vida’s aesthetic.

The event ended with a social, letting guests connect with Tim, Cheri, Bridget and each other. We had an open bar, passed hors d’oeuvres, a dessert buffet, and more!

Behind the Scenes at Bella Vida

Bella Vida’s newly reimagined Behind the Scenes event, formerly known as Bagels with Brooks, gave VIPs an inside look at the latest developments within the community. With two well-attended sessions, the event offered both insight and access.

Brooks shared key updates, including vehicle acquisitions, projected opening timelines and upcoming team hires. Jermain, our new Director of Building Services, brought the construction process to life. He shared detailed photos of the villas and the main building, offering a closer look at quality checks of the plumbing, HVAC and electrical systems. Nathan rounded out the sessions with a preview of exciting events on the horizon.

Let’s come together to celebrate Father’s Day with a creative touch. We’ll create cute candy dogs—a fun and heartfelt way to honor the occasion.
These handmade treats will be shared with Meals on Wheels recipients served by the Bulverde/Spring Branch Senior Center. Join us, and fellow VIP Gayle Turner, for a meaningful morning of creativity and connection.

VIPs with last names Q-Z are invited for a fun, engaging afternoon! Our neighborhood socials are a great chance to meet your neighbors, even before you become neighbors. Couples with different last names can attend together, even if only one has a last name that falls within Q-Z.

Apartment Home VIPs are invited to a special sneak peek at the Bella Vida community while it’s still under construction.

These guided tours are available to individuals who have reserved apartments in the main building. On the tour, you will be provided a unique opportunity to see firsthand how the vision for Bella Vida is becoming a reality. VIPs will be able to observe the latest construction milestones and gain a better understanding of the 26.5-acre layout from the safety of the bus. In addition, you’ll also be able to experience the community’s scale and beauty as it continues to take shape.

To accommodate as many participants as possible, three separate bus tour times will be offered at 9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. We can’t wait for everyone to see how quickly Bella Vida is coming together and to imagine the vibrant community that will soon flourish there.
