Between steady progress on construction, exciting community events, and new faces joining our growing community, there’s a lot to celebrate at Bella Vida. Each milestone brings us closer to opening our doors!

Construction Updates

The Bella Vida team got to go up with Gordon, one of our architects from three, for a visit to the construction site. It was so exciting to see the vision coming to life! With the layout mapped, retaining walls in place, and the groundwork well underway, the foundation for Bella Vida’s beautiful community is taking shape.

Hey Everyone! I’m pleased to have a section to answer a question that we’ve gotten
from some of our VIPs:

“What does an Executive Director do?”

An Executive Director is defined by the attitude and effectiveness of their team as well as by the experience and well-being of the residents they serve. The role needs to build a team and culture that can consistently deliver for its residents. We’re blessed with some great Marketing folks already – Sally, Jodi, Tamara, and Nathan, as well as our Move-In Coordinator, Rachel. We look forward to complementing this team with the best-in-class for our culinary, environmental services, resident services, and healthcare
teams. That initiative – hiring the best possible team members – will be one of my top priorities before Bella Vida opens.

The run-up to our opening includes a long list of tasks that must be completed to ensure that we have the partners and resources necessary to operate effectively from day one. Everything must be solidified before we officially open our doors, including elevator maintenance contracts, resident lifestyle programming, salon/spa operations, and departmental policies and procedures. Beginning now, we will be engaging with potential partners to piece together the network of providers needed to supply, maintain, and grow Bella Vida to best serve our residents upon opening and into the future. Once our campus officially opens, my role takes on additional areas of focus. The Executive Director acts as a key connection between residents and the operations team – helping to drive resident engagement, satisfaction, and well-being throughout the campus. In addition, an important part of my role is to make sure that Bella Vida team members are equipped with what they need to effectively support the residents who call our community home.

At its core, my job is to create and grow the environment needed to support the best community in San Antonio – a place where new friendships are built, opportunities are plentiful, and people can live their best lives. Bella Vida is going to be one of a kind. I’m excited to experience it with you.

Rachel’s Corner

Dear Future Neighbors,
One of the questions I hear most often is:

“What exactly are Friday Office Hours for?”

Every Friday, we welcome all VIP’s from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. to the personalization office for what I like to call “hands-on prep time.” Friday Office Hours are your opportunity to review the options, touch, feel and look at finishes and color schemes, and get a head start for your appointment, when we talk through your options. Many of you have shared that being able to see these materials ahead of your personalization appointment helps reduce stress and makes the process feel more enjoyable. I encourage you to join us if you have not yet been in!

A couple of helpful reminders:
Office hours are a great way to get general guidance and information about finishes. With many people in the office reviewing during office hours, it is sometimes a challenge to answer specific questions about a floor plan. Please remember, the process of obtaining pricing on a specific apartment is customized based on square footage and specific layouts. We will get into the granular detail in our one-on-one personalization appointment, rather than during office hours. I appreciate our meetings as they provide opportunities to learn more about everyone.

One important note I would also like to share about personalization, is that coming in for an appointment is an opportunity, not a requirement. It allows you to choose your finishes when and if you decide to move into Bella Vida, it does not mean you are making a commitment to move-in. For someone who feels this process might be too overwhelming at this time, please remember, personalization is an option! I am happy to discuss your situation at any time, so please don’t hesitate to give me a call to talk about alternatives.

We are now wrapping up the MEP phase of personalization. If you have not yet met with me for this step, please reach out to me at 210-641-5549 or email RMcGowan@ForefrontLiving.org to schedule an appointment. As discussed above, if you would like to forego this step, as many people do, we would simply have you sign a waiver.

It is such a joy to walk alongside you during this process, and I look forward to seeing the wonderful choices you make for your new homes.
